Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
Sardar Patel University is a State Private University established under the Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya (Sthapana Avam Sanchalan) Sanshodhan Adhiniyam, 2011 (Madhya Pradesh Act No. 26 of 2011), passed by the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.
The Act received the assent of the Hon’ble Governor on 23rd July 2018, and was first published in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette (Extraordinary) on 28th July 2018.
As per the provisions of the Act, the management of the University is carried out by a Board of Governors, chaired by Shri Diwakar Singh, Hon’ble Chairperson of Vindhya Shiksha Samiti, Sardar Patel Campus, Gaykhuri, Balaghat (M.P.), and the first Chancellor of Sardar Patel University.
Nestled in the serene and verdant surroundings of Sardar Patel Knowledge City, the University campus spans nearly 80 acres of land owned by Vindhya Shiksha Samiti, located on Waraseoni Road, Dongariya, Balaghat (M.P.).
Sardar Patel University was established with a vision to provide world-class education across diverse disciplines — including General, Technical, Professional, and Medical Education — catering to the needs of students in Madhya Pradesh, across India, and beyond.
